DOWNTIME CLINICAL RECORD


Downtime EMR enables physicians and other clinicians to retain access to predefined clinical datasets in the event of a planned or unplanned downtime event.

Application Objectives

Operational Environment

In normal operation, predefined clinical datasets are periodically fetched from your HIS and written to a SQL Server

  • Access your information, at the data and report level, via a Web-Browser
  • Data will be up to date as of 5 to 10 minutes from the point of the downtime
  • Data sources can be from any Health Information Systems
  • Tools are provided to assist with operations

Disaster Operations

When an event is detected, Downtime EMR steps in to provide continued access to clinical data from the SQL Server. Downtime EMR also tracks the start time and duration of downtime events and automatically recovers (writes to SQL) any missing data.

  • Access is directed from the “live” system to the redundant system
  • System is accessed via the portal through your Web-Browser
  • Full functionality can be available through the portal or access provided to your systems (same as “live” environment)
